‘Uncle Vanya’ to Hit Broadway With New Translation By Heidi Schreck

A brand new adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya will play the Lincoln Heart Theater this spring. 

The basic play will characteristic a brand new translation by Heidi Schreck, author and star of What the Structure Means to Me, and path by Lila Neugebauer, who beforehand directed Kenneth Lonergan’s The Waverly Gallery on Broadway. Uncle Vanya will start previews on the Vivian Beaumont Theater on April 2, 2024, with a gap evening on April 24.

The play, first produced in 1899, follows Sonya and her Uncle Vanya, whose lives engaged on their household farm are interrupted by the arrival of her father and his charismatic spouse.
