Sony Photos Classics Takes ‘Depraved Little Letters’ for North America, China

Delivering some late deal-making momentum to the American Movie Market, Sony Photos Classics snatched up North America and China distribution rights to the British black comedy thriller movie Depraved Little Letters, starring Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley.

Sony acquired the rights from StudioCanal and can launch the movie theatrically in 2024.

Directed by Thea Sharrock (Me Earlier than You) from a screenplay by Jonny Candy (Greed), Depraved Little Letters is predicated on a real scandal that shocked Nineteen Twenties England. The story facilities on neighbors Edith Swan (Colman) and rowdy Irish migrant Rose Gooding (Buckley) within the seaside city of Littlehampton. At some point, a sequence of obscene letters start to focus on Edith and others, and when suspicion falls on Rose, the ladies of the city suspect one thing is amiss and determine to analyze.
